Welcome to the Skills for Life Network E-News Update

We have another busy edition of the update, with news of a new source of funding for the voluntary and community sector, information on two NRDC good practice workshops coming up in September, an update on the Skills for Life Conferences in November and some feedback from members on tools for assessing soft skills alongside Skills for Life.

We also have another 'any answers?' query for you, around the availability of online/distance learning City and Guilds 7404 Stage 3 programmes. Many thanks in anticipation for your help once again!

Resources: there are new downloadable resources on the Maths4Life website, and we welcome the Basic Skills Agency and Dyslexia Action to the Resource Showcase.

Providers of Initial Teacher Training and/or Skills for Life professional development programmes in the North West can now access free marketing and promotional support for their courses via the North West Skills for Life Professional Development Advice Service (NWPDAS). Also, if you're based in the North West and would like to access information and advice on professional development, NWPDAS can help. See the articles for more details.

Happy surfing!
