Welcome to the Skills for Life Network E-News Update

If you're interested in finding out more about the General Professional Recognition Scheme, which enables competent and experienced teachers to achieve professional recognition, you may like to attend one of the information seminars being held across the country in April. Please note that you will need to book a place by the 28th of March. Full details are in the article.

You'll see that there are changes ahead for the funding of skills delivery for young people and adults - see the article on new reforms. For adult learners this will also mean the creation of a streamlined Skills Funding Agency to route funding to FE colleges and other providers.

The keynote presentation slides from the PD Net Annual Skills for Life Conference held on the 11th of March are now available to view/download from the site. The slides will be of interest to anyone with an interest in Skills for Life in Train to Gain and future developments in Skills for Life.

Happy surfing!
