Welcome to the Skills for Life Network E-News Update

A couple of points of note in this edition of the e-news update:

The DCSF has produced functional skills fact sheets for practitioners and young people. The practitioners' fact sheet provides a brief introduction to functional skills for the education workforce, while the learners' fact sheet aims to illustrate the benefits of functional skills and encourage more young people to take the qualifications. Find out more below.

Many of us work with vulnerable groups, and are aware that there are new regulations requiring all people working with vulnerable groups to be registered with the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). Business Link has produced a guide to the new regulations with links through to key information from the ISA, which you may find helpful. Check out the article below for full details.
